CosmoPure™ Red Iron Oxide – red soap colour with a natural earthy tone

CosmoPure™ Red Iron Oxide is a finely ground red iron oxide pigment for colouring soap, decorative candle and wax projects, as well as cosmetic applications.

The shade is not a bright signal red, but a warm, natural brick, rust to terracotta red tone. Depending on the dosage and base material, it creates subtle rosy-brown nuances through to rich, earthy reds.

Ideal as a colour for soap

The red iron oxide is particularly suitable for:

• Glycerine soap & melt-and-pour soap
• Natural and herbal soaps
• Terracotta, rust and brick shades
• Swirls & marbling
• Beige-red and cream-red combinations
• Autumn, spice and natural designs
• multicoloured and layered soaps

In white soap base, the result is softer, lighter red and terracotta shades. At higher dosages, the pigment appears stronger and noticeably earthier.

For candles & wax

Red Iron Oxide can also be used for decorative candle and wax projects, for example for:

• Beeswax candles with red accents
• Terracotta and natural shades
• multicoloured candles
• wax melts
• Reliefs and surface decorations

If adding directly to burning wax, we recommend carrying out your own burn test.

For cosmetics

CI 77491 is a red iron oxide pigment for suitable cosmetic formulations and is particularly ideal for warm red, reddish-brown and terracotta shades.

The pigment is very economical. For an even colour result, first disperse a small amount carefully into the respective base material and then continue processing.
