The Nuc & Mate hive is a versatile hive designed to simplify beekeeping and make it more profitable. This nucleus hive can be used as an economical mating unit to expand your apiary or to sell nucleus colonies.

The Nuc&Mate hives can be divided into two or three-frame units using a divider board, allowing two queens to be mated simultaneously. The divider board can later be removed if the beekeeper wishes to overwinter the colony as six-frame units.

The Nuc & Mate hive is cast from extra-hard, food-grade polystyrene with a density of over 100 kg/m³. With proper use, the hive has a lifespan of several decades.

During transport, the hive is held together and secured with straps. At the apiary, the lids can also be secured with a stone weighing approximately 2 kg. In warm weather or during transport, the lid can be turned upside down, creating a ventilation tunnel above the top bar of the frames. This ensures additional ventilation if a bee-proof mesh on the top bars prevents the bees from flying out.
